Appalachian Mandolin & Dulcimer
The CD, the show, and the passing of dulcimer master David Schnaufer
at age 53.
David
Schnaufer was The Genuine Article. Performer, teacher, historian.
As close to living the Tradition as you could get. Rarely in one's
life do you get to interact with someone with as much passion as
David had for the Appalachian Dulcimer. Playing/performing, along
with making as many folks aware of it as possible. His work is left
unfinished, as is always the case in this type of situation. It's
up to the rest of us to take his lead and move forward.
God
Speed,
Butch
Baldassari

Butch Baldassari and David Schnaufer presented
a live program of amazing mandolin and dulcimer
duets, straight from their new CD, Appalachian
Mandolin and Dulcimer.
Listening to this great music is auditory treat,
but even better was to listen to them and watch
them play live. The program included the entire
CD, plus magical moments that just happen when
two masters of their instruments get together.
